Homemade Mac and Cheese!

Mac and Cheese is one of the most easiest recipe you can cook. I was bored and all I could find in my kitchen was half used macaroni packet. I thought of cooking something easy and quick, So here it was Mac and Cheese.

For Mac and Cheese



You will require the following ingredients:

Boiled Macaroni - 1 Cup
All Purpose Flour - 1 1/2 tbs
Butter - 2 tbs
Cheddar Cheese - 1 1/2 Cup
Mozzarella Cheese - 1/2 Cup
Milk- 2 Cups
Bread Crumbs - 1/4 Cup
Black Pepper - 1 tsp
Processed Cheese - 1 Cube (optional)

Okay! So the first step here is to make bechamel sauce or in common parlance we call it as white sauce. So for that heat a pan, add butter and all purpose flour. Cook it on medium flame until it turns very light brown. Add milk and cheddar cheese and whisk it well, so that no lumps are left. Now the sauce will turn a little thick, add already boiled macaroni and mix it well and pour the stuff from pan in a baking dish. Spread all the mozzarella cheese on the macaroni in baking dish and sprinkle the bread crumbs on the top of mozzarella. Now bake it for 15 minutes at 180 degree Centigrade. Take it out from oven and garnish it with some black pepper and serve hot!

Tips:
  • Use Garlic Bread crumbs as it will enhance the flavours at the top.
  • Cheddar cheese in itself is quite salty. Therefore add salt in sauce only if required after adding cheese.
